What is the DAISY Award®?

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is an international recognition program that honors the outstanding care nurses provide every day. DAISY stands for Diseases Attacking the Immune System — the award was created by the family of J. Patrick Barnes following his death from an auto-immune disease, to thank the nurses who cared for him with such skill and compassion.
