Shearwater Health Expands Leadership Team by Welcoming Michael Hite as President of Nurse Recruitment
NASHVILLE, TN, NOVEMBER 1, 2022 –
Shearwater Health announced today the addition of Michael Hite to the Leadership Team as President of Nurse Recruitment. Hite brings deep experience in the healthcare space and has played a key role in growing and transforming companies within the healthcare ecosystem. He will oversee the Nurse Recruiting business in providing registered nurses to healthcare clients impacted by the current nursing shortage in our country with a broad focus on creating solutions for the global nursing crisis.
Hite joins Shearwater from Pendrick Healthcare Partners, a private Revenue Cycle Management provider, where he was the Chief Transformation Officer responsible for corporate strategy, new product development, and mergers and acquisitions. Immediately prior, Hite was the Chief Operating Officer at Alteon Health. Among other operational initiatives, he was responsible for leading the corporate Revenue Cycle Management transformation to position the organization for sale.
With over 27 years of experience, Hite has obtained many senior-level leadership roles at provider and services companies including, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Community Health Systems facilities, Senior Vice President at The Advisory Board Company, leading Consulting & Management businesses, Senior Vice President within Optum and UnitedHealth Group (post acquisition of The Advisory Board Company).
Hite also brings deep clinical experience to the position as a current Registered Nurse and a Paramedic. Hite is a Boston University alum who received his Master’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Health Services Administration degrees from the University of Maryland.
